The influenza immunisation eligibility criteria will expand this year to include a wider group. Current eligible groups – and the priority- includes those over 65; pregnant; with certain medical conditions; those on a carers allowance; frontline health workers and children aged 2, 3 on 31 Aug or at primary school. Additional groups will include those aged 50-64; household contacts of people who are shielding; the shielded patient list and children in year 7. Those who are mandated to have an immunisation for Defence reasons will be incorporated.
