The UK’s Joint Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) now advises a non-urgent offer of two 10 mcg doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine (Comirnaty®) to children aged 5 to 11 years of age who are not in a clinical risk group. The 2 doses will be offered with an interval of at least 12 weeks between doses and no earlier than 12 weeks after COVID infection.  The intention of this offer is to increase the immunity of vaccinated individuals against severe COVID-19 in advance of a potential future wave of COVID-19. Please read more at this link.

We plan to offer at sites across Europe, particularly where the host nation offer has not been easy to access.  To allow for planning please indicate on this form linked below as soon as possible and by the end of March if you intend to take up this offer for your child. Immunisation clinics will be conducted in April, with most occurring just before or after the Easter holiday period.

Many families will already have accepted a host nation offer. For those who have not, there are some differences between programmes.  The dose is the same, but the interval between doses is 12 weeks on the UK program.   There is no current electronic certification for this age group on the NHS system.
