Warning Order- Battle of Britain Service – 18 September 22.

A Battle of Britain Service is being planned for Sunday 18 September 22.  Subject to confirmation, the Service will occur between 0930 and 1030 in the SHAPE Chapel.  The intent is to get together in the Mess with guests following the service concluding around 1300.  All RAF personnel under NATO command are encouraged to attend if available, and we would be delighted to see families there as well. Commander GSO will also encourage RAF personnel in EJSU and the NSE to attend.

We have a capacity limit of 110 but the Service and Reception will be open to RAF personnel, members of the Fleet Air Arm, Army Air Corps and their families.  Single Service leads and the NMRs from the respective nations whose aircrew fought in the battle will also be invited with guests.  We are seeking volunteers to act as escorts or ushers for the event (both in the Church and for the after Service reception).  Please contact the Project officers, Sqn Ldr Mark Finneran (Mark.Finneran@shape.nato.int)  or WO Clark (Paul.Clark@ncia.nato.int ), if you wish to volunteer, attend or you wish to bring family members.  An administrative order will follow in August to confirm arrangements and numbers attending.
