The Defence Advice Note (DAN) 18 has recently been updated (dated 12 Nov 21). DAN 18 complements the wider regulations and law applicable to every traveler entering the UK. All defence personnel should read, understand and comply with HMG guidance. The latest update (v8) sees a new format throughout with the annexes and exemption templates being removed and included into a separate document. The DAN also includes an Inbound Travel Decision flow chart (see below) which should be used for reference.
