A reminder for all Royal Navy families: The next Hail & Farewell will take place on Thursday 29 September 2022 from 17:30 in the Brit Bar (located near to the Post Office). Please do put the date in your diaries.
For newcomers…the Hail & Farewell is for Royal Navy military and, for those who are accompanied, all naval spouses/partners and children. Indeed, the whole family. The Brit Bar will, of course, be open for drinks. There will be a few short announcements; we will introduce our new joiners and say farewell to our leavers. Above all, it is a relaxed event and a time to enjoy the company of others.
If you have an Uckers Board, please bring it along. For those who have played before, there will be the opportunity to “8-piece your oppo” but, if you don’t know the rules, you can take advantage of learning this traditional Royal Navy game of strategy.
Excellent food for adults and children will be provided, free due to a standing grant from our Community Welfare Fund, by our Galley staff.
