The RAF Benevolent Fund in conjunction with researchers at Middlesex University are conducting a study into the barriers preventing people from accessing help in the RAF. Please find the following items below:

  • A letter from the RAF Benevolent Fund Controller,  Air Vice-Marshal Chris Elliot explaining the research and requesting your help in disseminating the survey to participants and advertising (not to be sent onto personnel).
  • A toolkit containing suggested copy to advertise the research on your social media, and any other outlets. The toolkit also contains a Dropbox link that has images to include alongside any posts.

We are asking serving members of the RAF community, including RAF reserves, to complete an anonymous online survey. There is also an opportunity to participate in further interviews with the research team.

The survey takes approximately 3 minutes to complete and includes questions about you and your experiences (if any) with accessing support and any barriers you encounteredWith your help, we will use the findings to identify these barriers and steps to overcome these challenges to accurately deliver our services to meet the needs of those who need it most.

Please be assured that all responses will be treated with confidence and fully anonymised – no individuals will be identifiable from responses.
